As a Senior Software Engineer for Kaiser Aluminum I was a SharePoint Online administrator and helped with the building of a company-wide Intranet. I also developed cloud-based business applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
Previously participated in converting a System 36 Sales Order Processing module to an in-house Microsoft Windows Forms/Microsoft SQL Sales Order Processing module. Also, made enhancements to an in-house Windows Forms/Microsoft SQL Hedging application that Kaiser Aluminum uses to help protect the company from commodity price swings.
I worked most of the time remotely.

for the Transportation Security Authorization (TSA). Transportation authority officials currently use this application to help incoming employees apply for a Transportation Worker Identity Credential (TWIC) card. As part of the enrollment process, the application gathered biometric
and biographical information about the applicant.

As an independent contractor, I provided support and development services for American Snuff. Previous applications that were supported
included the company web site, vendor managed inventory, and sales force automation.
The tools used to provide support included Visual Studio 2010 (C# and Visual Basic),
Microsoft SQL 2008, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting
Services (SSRS), and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
A major application I developed while at American Snuff was a Windows Presentation
Foundation (WPF) application that replaced a paper-based process for the receiving
of tobacco from farmers. With this application in place, American Snuff more than
doubled its receiving capabilities.

I provided support for the ARMDD (Asset, Reliability, and Maintenance Data Delivery System) product. I also
was tasked with the rewrite of the ARMDD application using Microsoft Visual Studio
2008 and Microsoft SQL 2008. The user interface for the new client application was
being developed with Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).

This position was a contract position through Vaco Technology. American Snuff produces and sells tobacco products.
I developed a Windows .Net application for the manufacturing department to track
tobacco boxes from production in Clarksville, TN to final manufacturing in Memphis,
TN and Winston Salem, NC. The development environment consisted of Visual Studio
2008 and Microsoft SQL 2005. This application also incorporated Microsoft SQL Reporting
Services (SSRS) and the Unit Testing component of Visual Studio 2008.

This position was a contract position through TEK Systems. The development
environment consisted of Visual Studio 2005 and Microsoft SQL 2000.
The focus of the contract dealt with making improvements to the new Mortgage Sales
Management System intranet application. Tasks included enhancing security
and search capabilities, developing a dashboard summary page, and exporting search
results to an Excel workbook. I created over 35 new T-SQL procedures in support
of the various improvements.

This position was a contract position through JDResources. The assignment involved converting Hilton’s
Property Information Management application from a client-based application
to a web-based application. The software development environment consisted of Microsoft
Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 (Team Edition for Software
Developers), ASP.NET 3.5, and Microsoft SQL 2005.
The new web-based Property Information Management application made heavy use of
Business Objects, Ajax Controls, and Cascading Style Sheets.

This position was a contract position through Cook Systems. The software environment consisted of Microsoft Team Foundation
Server, Microsoft Visual Studio 2003, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 (Team Edition
for Software Developers), Classic ASP, ASP.NET, Visual Source Safe, Microsoft SQL
2000 and 2005, Microsoft Access, DB2, Crystal Reports, Lotus Notes, and Microsoft
Project.
Assignments included migrating VB6, Classic ASP, and ASP.NET 1.1 applications to
Visual Studio 2005, creating new ASP.NET 2.0 web applications, enhancing existing
.Net and Windows forms applications, and creating Windows services. Microsoft SharePoint
was used to track assignments and provide a central repository for project documentation.

I managed and supervised a staff comprised of three software engineers
and one system administrator.
I provided leadership, planning, design, development, implementation, testing, and validation of complex research systems
and software projects. This leadership included allocating, supervising, and evaluating resource utilization.
I was responsible for the content and development of the Division of Translational
Imaging Research web page: www.stjude.org/tir
I acted as a faculty liaison and I was responsible for ensuring that computational resources met faculty research needs
in a timely fashion.
I developed an application to automate the viewing of scanned MRI protocol documents
and notes. The application was built with Visual Studio Professional 2005, C#, Crystal
Reports, and Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

I worked with a team that was attempting to convert Schering-Plough HealthCare’s proprietary Scientific and
Regulatory system over to a new integrated system. The components of this new system included LabWare LIMS,
a laboratory information management system; Waters Empower, a chromatography data acquisition system;
Documentum, a document management system; and NuGenesis, a scientific data preservation system.
Both the LabWare LIMS and Waters Empower products used Oracle for their database.
The team followed Schering-Plough’s System Life Cycle (SLC) approach to Computer System Validation.
The seven phases of this approach were Plan, Specify, Design, Develop and Construct, Test, Release and Use, and Retire.
To manage and document the business systems and the business requirements for this new system, we used
Rational Rose and Rational RequisitePro software management tools from Rational Software. I served as the
administrator for both of those products.

I was responsible for overall departmental strategy, architecture, and methodology.
I chaired selection committees for several major software applications. These applications included a Document Management
system, a Chromatography Data Acquisition system, and a Laboratory Information Management system. I also participated on
the selection committees for a Clinical Data Management system and a new ERP system.
Ensured all GMP software applications complied with CFR 21 Part 11.
I supervised construction, validation, and maintenance of two in-house applications: A Laboratory Information Management
System (LIMS) and a Stability Information Management System. The applications used a front-end developed with Visual Basic that interfaced to a Microsoft Access database.
I managed the selection, purchase, installation, and validation of Turbochrom (now called TotalChrom), a chromatography
data acquisition system. Installation included the creation of an NT 4.0 network from the ground up. I also supervised
the administration of this system that was comprised of two NT servers, 35 workstations, and over 50 instruments
collecting data.
